Pre-K Graduate!

Well Miss C did it! She graduated from First Baptist Rockwall Pre-K yesterday! It was a wonderful program! We are really going to miss her teacher, the director and all our friends! The program has been such a blessing to our family the last two years! She'll go to Kinder with a couple of the girls from school, so that will be comforting (more for me than her I'm sure)!

J and I and both sets of grandparents came to enjoy the program and celebrate. They performed several songs, had a alphabet parade (Miss C was "Z") and a wonderful slide show!

Miss C chose to dine at Snuffer's (girl after my heart) for her celebratory Graduation Lunch! We ended our day at the Harbor at the "Concert on the lake series." It was a lovely day all around.

I woke to see that more folks have received referrals so that just bumps us up the list a bit. We're somewhere between 10-15 we think!!!!! Bring on more referrals!
Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

WOO HOO!! We're Official!

Hello All,

We received "The Letter" from our agency telling us we were officially placed on the waiting list May 2, 2008! We couldn't be more thankful and filled with joy. Thanks to all of you who have prayed with us over the past year+ while we're trying to expand our family! I received some wonderful personal news as well yesterday that J and I are so grateful for as well. God is so good to us!

Now the "real" waiting begins! Some families in the Korea program with our agency have received referrals lately and they have waited 5-6 months! So, there is a great chance that maybe we will see our sweet child's face sometime late fall! Then we'd travel in early 2009! We are very hopeful, but know that anything can change with International Adoption.

Prayer Requests

*Pray that our child has been conceived
*Pray the Birth Mother takes wonderful care of her body and the baby throughout her pregnancy
*Pray that J, Miss C and I are patient while we wait for our referral
*Pray that our hearts will know our child when we see him/her for the first time and there will be NO doubt that this is the referral for us
*Pray for J, that he has confidence in all of his abilities and stays true to who he is and the man that God made him into (he has had an overwhelming week)
*Pray that Miss C will adjust well to having a sibling
*Pray that our sweet baby will be home SOON!!!!!

Another Piece of Excitment!!!!!!!!!!!!

Our social worker (SW) emailed today and she mailed our Home Study into to Dillon! She said that they will put the "official" stamp on it in their team meeting this week (hopefully they'll get it in time). Then they will send us a letter of our official date!! YEAH!

*Pray that it gets there in time to be reviewed in their team meeting (I think they take place on Tuesday's).

*Pray that we have peace waiting for the official word

*Pray for our health, hearts, and minds. We want to be healthy, happy, and of sound mind for each other, Callie and our new child(ren).

*Pray that nothing gets in the way of this adoption process.

Thanks,
CJ~
